Can anyone tell me if the 3 O-rings inside the T.M. are supposed to be dry or lubed?
Mine was perfect after I set it 20,000 miles ago. No complaints at all. Yesterday I bought and installed new grips. I left the same amount of grip clearance as before. And all I did was undo the screw, change grips and screw it back same torque as before. It locked solid,( as in the adjuster would not turn, but the throttle would.) I adjusteded it a couple of times, then took it and cleaned it, with light lube, and set it credit card gap and it won't quite hold. I screwed the brass out 1/4 turn and it locks solid. The only thing left is get 3 new o-rings and start over. So, are the o-rings dry or wet? I e-mailed T.M. and received a message, thanks for inquiring, we'll get back to you.
