The call - the first time...

I'm working out of town and yesterday afternoon I had a call from my oldest son.

I knew my sister had given him her 1100 VStar, and he rarely calls, so I took it at work.

Most of us know that things happen, and when it happens for the first time, what, it can be stressful.

He was riding along and the bike just quit running. The had to have it towed home.

I did my best phone line physic troubleshooting, you know, I truly believe he'll get it fixed himself!

A month or so I gave him the Honda "Common Service Manual" and I think that helped, as has the internet.

Ah, the memories, the first time troubleshooting, my son, he's growing up!

haha that is a pretty awesome feeling though when you fix it yourself.

I know it sucks to run outta gas. My 750 Nighthawk ran out once. I had put it on reserve a few days prior and forgot to get gas. She started to sputter so I reached down to switch it over and realized it was already on reserve. I didn't want to leave her sitting on the side of the road, so I pushed her about a mile or so up the road to the nearest gas station.

Steve,
Glad your son wasn't hurt or anything. I'm sure he'll get it figured out.
