testing da coils

I have what I think is ignition issues. Intermittenly and with no pattern, my bike sounds like it's running on 2 cylinders. As well as a prominent smell of fuel coming from the exhaust. So I went to test my coils a bit ago and on the terminals and my DVM on 200 ohms it reads about 9 something, which seems normal (correct me if im wrong on that). But when testing the coil to spark plug. No reading. So I thought maybe my wire was bad. Tested that at 20k ohms, no reading. And finally I went to the contact that goes from the ignition coil at the sparkplug side at 200 ohms and nothing happened.

However my issues still being random, I put it back together it ran normal. Am I using the Dvm wrong or should I not be getting a reading at all in those areas? Is my reading telling me bad coil and wire?

I like these other coils better, they're more in tune...

They seem to be working, though, so you should look at the FPR.
