strange sound/feeling?

Hi guys, I'm experiencing strange sound/felling when i open throttle more aggressively.it can be felt only while engaged in gear, when in neutral and when i rev it, its normal four cylinder sound,,,it changes from a four cylinder linear sound/feel to a kinda two or three, sounds like rrrrrrr, instead of zzzzzzzz,,,if you know what i mean.
the thing is, engine revs fine, it pulls great, all four pipes are heating initially same, i ride it like i stole it mostly coz i live close to some great canyons here in Los Angeles.only thing that bothers me is that i can not determine where the sound comes from,,,my guess is its internal?!
i have a slight leak from top of valve cover, front left corner of the cover.but nothing mayor, just a slight like I've said.
i would appreciate any input on this one.
chears!

If you have a stock exhaust then maybe it's the intake you're hearing? It makes a grunt under load at mid RPMS.

Get an aftermarket pipe and see if you're still able to hear it.
