dont use reusable oil filters they do not filter NEARLY as well as a paper one. and two... at around 100 bucks for a reusable one.

given the average 8 dollar price for a good standard oil filter, changing the oil every 3k with filter every other oil change (6k miles)

100 /8 = 12.5 oil filters to the one reusable one... * 6 k = 75k miles before the price even starts to make sense.

BOsch 3323, $7 and same filter area as Pure/Mobil. You'll do 12 changes before breaking even...that's 36,000 miles if you're doing 3k intervals.

I had one of those for the RC51 back in the day, gave it up with the bike. PITA to clean and gotta wait for the cleaner to dry out before reinstalling.

Yes, why pay to have a shiny all metal gizmo that provides coarse screening, instead of a filtration paper derived level of filtration that will make the ball bearings in the transmission be happy ?
