Question Rotors

Hello All,

I am moving forward in getting all the bits for my RC51 front end conversion.

I am planning on getting EBC rotors for my SP1 front wheel and my 900rr rear wheel.

On the front wheel the only difference between the SP1 rotor and the 919 specs are the outer diameter whick CB 919 is 296mm and RVT1000 is 320 MM and the Disk thickness 919 = 4.7mm abd RVT100 = 4.5mm

Will I have to make any adjustments to the calipers if I go with the RVT1000 rotors?

On the rear rotors the only difference between CBr 900rr is 220mm Outer Diameter vs 919 240mm OD. Every other spec is identical.

My plan is to buy the rotors for the wheels I have. Please let me know your thoughts as if this is the right way to go or will I be running into issues. Thank you for your time.

You want to use the rear rotor from the 919 if you are using the 919 rear caliper. As far as the front. I assume you are getting Rc51 forks? If so you need rc51 front rotors. The 919 rotors are too small in diameter.

I am planning on running stock calipers on both front and back. I was told I can run stock calipers with the RC51 forks. Please let me know if this is correct. I was also thinking of throwing the RC51 SP1 wheel with the stock 919 forks until I go full conversion. Thoughts?

Yes, you can run the 919 calipers and master with the rc51 forks with rc51 front wheel and rotors. The rc51 front wheel does not work with the 919 forks unfortunately.

If you are just looking to do the 6 spoke conversion for now you can pick up a 96-99 CBR600 F3 or 94-97 Vfr750 front wheel. They are the same wheel. Then all you need is some spacers.

I have the F3 front wheel. Where do you suggest I pick up the spacers? Please provide link if you know it. Also what are the specs for the spacers? Thank you for your time.

Wondering, does anyone have any experience with EBC rotors? Can I use stock brake pads with EBC rotors?

Thanks!
