Question Recomdation of a Machine shop

The 35 year cleanup of my Z1 just reached new heights. After successfully changing the valve seals with out taking off the head, we have a new problem. We were checking the compression, and noticed no 2 cylinder compression was low. So I pulled the head. It was a good thing because one of the cam chain idlers rubber was disintegrated! I pulled the head apart, and found a burnt valve, and all the valve guides are sloppy and need replacing. Can any onr recommend a shop? Thanks

Danbury Competition Engine, owned by Joe LaPine not only does good work but his prices are reasonable. I haven't had any machine work done lately, but he was always good in the past. I think Joe still owns a few motorcycles himself, and I've always liked that the shop is clean. I don't have his number here at work, but it should easily be found. You can tell Joe the District Attorney from Putnam County sent you there.

Just a follow up, I sent the head down to Pit Stop performance in Orlando Fl. As it turns out the owner Joe Hooper, his work is well known in the drag racing scene.
