PGM-FI light blinking when bike off

First of all... top forum! Plenty of info and some very nice bikes

My first post and I'm diving into the technical stuff,

I've found a CB900 Hornet (919) for sale and I'm very keen on it, only thing is the PGM-FI light on the dash flashes steadily when the bike is off, I've taken it for a test ride the other day and from memory I don't think it flashed while the bike was running, just when it was off.

Is this normal? I'm very keen on the bike, I just don't want to buy into any problems.

Any help would be great,

Cheers, Tim

The PGM-FI light acts like the CEL in your car. It has picked up a fault code that you will have to read and reset.

Check this thread out. Specifically post #9.

Your best bet is to get hold of the owner, confirm if the PGM-FI light stays off, blinks (how many times, long and short) or on steady when running. Does the light flash when the ignition is turned forward or off or key out?
With this info we can help you a little more.
