Over polishing headers.

I like the look of clean polished headers. I use a scotch Brite pad and metal polish if bad otherwise just a rag, metal polish and elbow grease. I might do this once every few weeks. If I do this for years will I be thinning the pipes too much? Is there such a thing as too thin? Cheers.

Let us know when you wear them out...

I lack the time and patience to clean them with any regularity so I just go with shiny Stainless and call it a day

I doubt you will ever wear through them using Scotchbrite pads, you will however go blind and get hairy palms.

Excellent. Hairy palms will help with the polishing. Back to the shed to furiously rub my pipes.
