OEM 919 tank decal placement.

I just got my tank back from paint and got some new wing decals. Anyone have some pics & measurements of the OEM location? I want them as close to original as possible, but have no reference to start from.

Cheers,
Ian

Nice pictures

If I remember correctly someone on the forum was able to get decals at a pretty good price, I have the "silver" decals on my asphalt 9er and was looking into getting straight black decals. Can anybody give me the hookup or point a finger in the right direction?

The oem decals are under the clear coat. You will damage the clear trying to remove them, so its not really possible without a full respray.

Worked out perfectly. They are a little larger then the OEM. But they look great.

Actually If I remember correctly I swore they above the paint, I know the red ones were clear coated but I thought the asphalts were not clear coated. I guess I'll have to check when I get the bike out of storage in a month or so, unless anyone knows here for sure.

White tanks and bodywork with coloured frames, YES !
It'll also look real sharp with a black frame.

HOLY SHIT that looks good... No. GREAT! My buddy and I were at the Ducati showroom locally and they had a pearl satin white 848 EVO and I thought that paint would be decent on a 9er, but not awesome. Your tank alone has me thinking differently. White body bits and everything else flat black? YES PLEASE! Can't wait for pics of the whole thing!

They are tech-spec brand. They are really nice heavy duty rubber, the center pad is from them as well a new design. They are reusable, you can peel them off and reapply them multiple times. I got them off ebay was about $120.00 for everything shipped. We had a group buy on here a few months back, but I missed out.

No clear just left it as is for now. The paint is a single stage polyurethane aircraft paint, Norwegian white is the color. You can clean it with gas, brake cleaner etc. The paint is tough as nails.

I HATE to be like anyone else... but when I get tired of the post-apocalyptic look, I just might have to do my own variation on that beautiful black on white look. I'm not sayin'... I'm just sayin'.

Ever since I got my 9'er I was always going back to one pic in the picture thread. It caught my eye immediately, and I knew when I resprayed mine it would be white.

Sometimes people just "get it right" and you can't help but make your own variations on the theme/design. My build is a hybrid of all my favorite bikes on this forum.
-Strumman (white paint)
-Googl3it (blacked out powder coat)
-H919rider (900rr exhaust)
-3dcycle (f3 & 900rr wheels)
-pvster (F4i forks)

And the list goes on and on.

Hmmm, such kind words.
You must want something.
Just found more parts to sell ?

I'll scrounge for a bigger version of the same pic and try to post it.
I see the helmet thread too, so time to get out the camera for that.
I wish the website allowed larger file sizes to be posted.

I REALLY like that white tank you have.

By the way, what are you running for a rear shock ?
I can't remember.
Stock ? If so, early or 2004 and later ? If so, with stock spring?
If not stock shock, what is it and what spring rate do you have on it ?

Lol. You are my best customer!

As far as rear shock i am running an 06 completely stock, gave the 02 shock locally to a friend for a resto-mod cafe project.

I have a line on a 420 shock that should be mine before to long.
