No brake light - 919

Got to work yesterday morning at 5am. It was still dark. Parking my bike I noticed when I pulled the front brake I had no brake light function. I thought, oh no, I'm glad no one rear ended me. I generally check all my lights before I ride but did not that morning.

Taking a quick look I fortunately found the problem right away.
One of the spade connectors that goes to the brake light switch under the front brake lever had come loose and was not making contact. I cleaned the connections, reconnected it and gave it a crimp to hold it in place.

I have also had the same type of spade connector on the clutch side come loose before.
You might want to double check yours.
I would think that something that important on a bike that vibrates would have had a more positive connection than just a slip on spade terminal.

Four wheels move the body ... two wheels move the soul.
