Nearly lost my brakes because I didn't check this after the accident.
I had a very minor accident and thought I checked everything. Then on a mild test ride after playing with fork alignment, my brake lever went all the way to the grip.
I was going so slow that it had enough brake to work, but it did scare me a bit.
Here's what happened: The stock brake lever has an adjustment disk, if you push the brake lever outward it'll create a gap at the adjustment disk that's a part of the push rod.
For some reason, mine changed it's position a bit, making it so that I lost a lot of the braking power.
The fix is to push the lever out and readjust the disk, then MAKE SURE the lever FULLY SEATS against the adjustment disk.
If it's stuck on the edge of the adjustment disk, it can pop in when you least expect it and who knows what could happen.
Something to check if you ever bump your brake lever.
