Morning from hell and dead bike question

So, I had the great fortune of having all three of my vehicles fail on me in less than 12 hours!
Last night, I ran to home depot to get some wood, and noticed my truck temp was getting pretty high. I kept an eye on it and then it dropped, I assumed the thermostat was getting sticky as it's 22 years old and doesn't get driven much. I get to home depot and the thing is just pissing coolant out of the right side of the engine. Still haven't figured out from where, but I hauled ass home.
Went to leave for work this morning on the bike and started it up, ran for two seconds and died, figured it was just the normal cold start issue, thumbed the starter and then nothing. Look down, no lights, everything is dead. I'm guessing I popped a fuse or something, any ideas where to start my search?
I was already running late for work and didn't have time to dick around with it, so I clear all the shit from behind my car that gets driven even less than my truck, hop in that, it turns over twice and the battery is dead...
back it out into the driveway and of course my jumper cables are too short to reach the truck, have to start that up and move it over to get close enough, and then once I finally get the car running I notice I'm out of gas...
I just about called in sick becuase now I'm afraid I'm gonna lose a finger or something at work today... It just seems like one of those days... at least its friday, I need a beer already.

I've had some bad mornings before, but I don't think I can top (bottom?) yours. Did you spill some salt when tripping over that black cat under the ladder?
Anyways, good luck with the rest of your day and let us know what you find with the bike.

I would have except that I'm a contract employee and don't get paid sick days... and it's looking like I'm going to need some spare money in the near future for some repairs.

Well, took the side cover off and tried turning the key and got a little spark from the ground terminal twice, then nothing, and no lights. Pulled the battery out to check connections and it keys on perfect. Wiggle the negative terminals and it dies and sparks again... Turns out the screw in the negative terminal backed out about a quarter turn, and I guess that was just enough to not let it make a good connection... I'm just glad it happened in the driveway before I left rather than halfway to work on the highway...
And the car is starting fine now that I gave it a good long drive, now all I have to do is figure out what's broke on the truck... Not looking forward to that, really hoping it's just a leaking water pump.
