lost fuel cap key

i was on the streetcar earlier today, and had my keys in my pocket and lost them at some point.

i was on 2 different streetcars, and dont remember the car number so i cant contact a lost and found and see if they were found

i have the stock honda 919 fuel cap (its a 2002)
and so i cant open the fuel tank to put any gas in it

how easy is replacing the key? if i buy another fuel lid with extra keys will it open the one on the bike now?
and despite how ghetto it is, but could i use a flathead and open it?
if the keys are for a single fuel lid

If you lost your key for the bike (assuming you still use same key for ignition and gas cap) then you are stranded and need to find some way to get a new key made so you can run the bike. *I'm sure others will chime in with possible options if this is the case*

Based on your post I assume you have two different keys, one to open the tank and one to use in the ignition. If this is the case I'd just find a twist off cap to replace the keyed one and save some hassle. There is one for sale here I thought.
