K&L Steering Bearings

Has anyone used these on their 919? The kit comes with just one seal but the bike uses two; do we reuse the top seal?

Anyone had issues fitting these?

I would reuse the seal. I never did the steering stem bearings on my bike. I never had any play in the end.

Have you purchased them already? If not look at the All Balls tapered bearings. I would go with tapered vs flat.

Unfortunately, mine is developing the classic 'straight ahead de tent' so they need to be replaced. The fork scrapers aren't looking all that hot either so I guess I'll be doing those at the same time.

The K&L kits are taper roller, but made in Japan by people like Koyo instead of All Balls' Made Randomly Somewhere In China.

I'd try bringing your old bearings in to your bearing supply. They may have the right size in stock or be able to order them.

Ah, nice. I sprung for the Japanese bearings for my wheels but didn't realize that I had the option for steering head bearings.
