handlebars...

ok... i took the renthals off and i am shipping them to someone on the site ... we are working out a deal.

anyway i found me a nice set of bars at cycle gear and seeing as the manager is a buddy of mine i get employee pricing () so these new bars are less swept than the renthal u/l's are.... well here is a little step by step.. i hope it helps with the measure and drill and if it don't .... well then someone delete the thread ...

here we go..

before... renthal u/l's with stock mirrors... if you notice the ends i have about 3/4 in. between end of the grips and the bars.. i like them that way... i have big hands..

measure 6 times... drill once... use a slightly smaller drill bit than is needed and wallow the hole a touch to make pins fit...

measure

drill.......... once...

here are the new ones by the renthals... see if you spot the difference..

ok.. it got dark on me and i didnt get all the pictures i would have liked to... but make sure you put everything back in a comfortable place for your hands.. and tighten everything back up... make sure and check the horn and turn signals to make sure no wires came loose..and when you put the new grips on.. USE ENOUGH GLUE!!!! that stuff is cheap.. use it..

i also installed some bar end mirrors that i have been wanting for forever... and this is the finished product..

anybody needing exact measurements pm me... i will help anyway i can..

voila...

honestly i dont know joe.... i looked at everything they had at cycle gear and this one looked close to the renthals i have... but with a touch less sweep.. i know thats no help ... but they were unmarked... don't even know who makes them.... but they were 24 bucks!!!!!

and right now at cycle gear those barend mirrors are normally 59+tax... they were like 25-30...

everything.. bars, grips, grip glue, and mirrors were 73.00 out the door!!

Nice, B. Is that a bar that goes across, and if so, what is it?

thats the little bar the cushion goes around on a dirtbike...

i left it cause when i am stunting down the highway i like to hang onto that little bar so's i don't let the bike get away from me... like earlier i did a superman 360 leaving a red light... if not for that little bar i might have lost my grip on both brake pedals.. good thing i didnt have my gloves on..

the above is in total jest... if you believe any of that please feel free to whack yourself in the forehead with a hammer

If I had known you needed to send him a set of stock you could have had mine. I have 2 sets in the garage. Me and brahma both have old set laying around my garage.
