Fork fluid quandary

The Super Duke was built in '08. The 599, in '06. My WR250F and WR250R are both 2010s. I've never done anything to to the forks an any of them, other than wash the outsides of them. They're all Up Side Down, by the way.

They all ride really well. However if you go by the Owners' Manuals, they are all in need of an oil change. I've never done a fork oil change. If I do one, I'll do them all. I have a place to hang the front of the bike. I'm familiar with taking the forks off. It'll be "new ground" from there, but I'm not too worried. You Tube Vids usually help a bunch.

What's the up side of changing fork oil in something that I "think" rides just fine the way it is? Is there a noticeable change?

1. You'll feel virtuous, having completed the maintenance task.

2. Whether you will notice a change while riding depends on how much the damping effect of the oil has dwindled over time - you might have a sudden realisation that the action of the forks was not actually as plush and controlled as you previously thought, and things are now back up to scratch, or you might not notice anything at all.
