Exhaust wraping

So...I live in South Florida, is mid-April and is already 87F/30C.
I've being thinking about wraping my exhaust with heat tape before summer (100F/40C).
Anyone tried that?
I don't really care about better exhaust flow, I just want less heat on my legs in traffic.
Will the ceramic coating do the same result as wraping for me?
Any issues that I should know?
Better brands?
I've seen a couple vids on Youtube about and looks like it is straight foward business....
Thanks in advance
Weber

I've wrapped my header pipes before and it does do the job of moving the heat along and out instead of getting blown back across the engine as you ride ....You can ride 2 hours and get off the bike and grab your header pipes with your bear hands and not get burned .

Heres my exhaust rap.

My headers were crap,

So I decided to wrap,

Black wrap, black wrap, black wrap,

It stopped them being so hot,

The engine went like snot,

And passed all the cops,

Black wrap, black wrap, black wrap.

Hahaha - you are dead right.

Even if I pull my pants halfway down my arse and wrap a do-rag around my head, this white kiwi boy, really can't rap!
