Exhaust and PC3

Looking to upgrade my exhaust on my '05 919. What would people recommend for a good slip on? I looked at Akrapovic and also GPR from italy and thats it so far. Also the PC3 does that have a mapp in it to start with or is it blank and you download something into it? Thanks for your time people.

PC3 is loaded with a zero map. No effect.
You look up the combo you have in terms of exhaust and air filtration on the web (folks here know sources) and you grab that map and load it through the PC software you install on your lap top or computer.

Of course, there is also the option of taking it into a licensed tune center and having that custom map made for your bike. You will then know the baseline power and torque and then the tuned output for a genuine understanding of the benefit result. That will be a couple of bills I think.

In my opinion, the M1 rifle is the greatest battle implement ever devised.

Yup, I'm running one, and it helps HEAPS with the on-off throttle herky-jerky motion at low speed. There are about as many opinions on the PCIII as there are members of this forum, but on my [bog-standard intake and exhaust] bike, it has been a great addition - I wouldn't be without it. Day/night, chalk/cheese, etc.

Other people have other experiences, and they will share them, but that's been mine - big upside, no downside.

You cannot use the words "quality" and "Two Brothers" in the same paragraph without causing a rip in the space/time continuum... Somewhere out there we just destroyed two entire galaxies.

...and as a result, careful posters steered well clear of the galaxy-destroying thread, for fear of further cosmic damage....

"too_shay" !!!!

Past that, the recent 2B stuff looks better, but I don't how how much better it is in terms of actual performance improvement with a reasonable noise level.
Hmmm, now I'm again wondering about Jardine .......................

Their CF cans use to change to light brown IIRC. Not sure if that changes the performance but one can assume the cans weren't packed properly, similar to DanMoto issues.

My classified(s):
Nothing at the moment

- '96 Race-retired GSXR 750 (Sold)

Satos had their share of issues. My gen I had cracked welds and were rattling like baby rattles. I had them fixed and i thought it was an isolated incident despite both cans being cracked. Recently met another 9er on this forum who had the same issue with his Gen 1. Gen 2 had rotten cores as everyone have seen.

Hence one of the reasons why Sato does not make exhausts anymore. They tried outsourcing some of their exhaust lines and the result was not up to their standards. That being said there are still plenty of original hand-made Sato exhausts out there on RC51's getting them job done.
