Cant Pop Seat

Hey guys, went out to try and get my seat off to look at my unertail and get ready for exhaust mod and when I turn the key nothing happens. It has always worked before, is there a trick to it? The key has some resistance but not much.

Try gently pushing down on the back (passenger) part of the seat. Sometimes that works for me.

Four wheels move the body ... two wheels move the soul.

Not only push down, but push side to side/front/back... It's a hook/latch and can hang if friction is wrong.

Once you get it off, there's adjustments for position and height.

The bar that keeps the seat in place is held in a slit and is spring loaded so if it catches, it won't open all the way.

I'd turn the key then try to move the seat down and forward. One thing you might try is some WD-40 with a straw on the tip. Wedge the straw down in there and spray it around.

Maybe spray some into the key hole.

The seat tends to move a good bit, moving it around once the key is turned is about all you can do.

After that, maybe cut a hole in the bottom because you can always epoxy it back up.

Fell off, I assume it had some kind of retention ring on it.
