Caliper pin's QUESTION

OK, so im in the process of changing break pads on my 919... no biggy. But i always wondered why on the caliper pins do they use just a flat head locking screw cap thing. Why not use something like a stubby bolt / cap head screw you can actually use something on rather than a flat head that strips shit out?

would there be any problems say if i went to the hardware store got the correct treadled stubby bolt and use that to capture the main pad pin in place?

Ive always wondered that as well, but id be reluctant to put a different screw in place of that pin. Engineers picked that alloy of metal, and even that head for a reason.
