Bolts and Spacers for OEM Windscreen

I have a used OEM windscreen with that has everything to install except for the bolts and spacers. Our local Honda shop here tells me that the specs on those bolts and spacers have been wiped from existence (!) so they are no help to me...

Question: Does anyone have specs on the bolts and spacers so that I can match them up? Length and diameter of bolts and length of spacers would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks!

I have no idea on the bolts and spacers but if you give up trying, I'll buy that eom screen from you. ☺

Haha, nice try!

I was lucky enough to find this one. Found it on this forum, too.

Anyways, what I really need is the bolt and spacer length, I am sure that I can find the diameter myself. Anyone? Just a few small measurements to make life a bit easier for a fellow 9er rider?

I have that hardware on my bike. I can pull off a couple of pieces and measure it for you.

Edit: All I need is the length of the rear bolt and rear spacer.

Thanks!

What would you say to the bolts and spacers themselves? Crushed the shield in my off, bent one bracket. Still have the hardware.

Still need those measurements? I have a spare windshield here that I can just take out of the box and take measurements.

i lost all my hardware and had to piece together replacements from homedepot before i headed out on a long trip. Here's the hardware i used:

3/16 x 1/2 x 1/16 rubber washer

10-32 insert lock nuts

jam the rubber washers in there

10-32 x 3/4 button hd cap screw

Looks great, fits great, haven't lost one yet. a lil goofy having the sae hardware on... but oh well. They didn't have the screws in a metric size with a button head (i believe that was the dilemma).

Hey that's a great resource for the forum. If the hardware gets lost in the mail I will definitely use these measurements.

CKutz, your dropbox links don't work - seems you copied the URL while signed in, can you copy the shared or public links? If so, we can edit your original post with the correct links.

yea, i've been planning on putting it up as resource, hence the pics. just got lazy... seeing the title of this thread tho i figured it'd be a good place to put it if someone does a search.

i wish i'd used proper metric stuff. The issue there is that the oem bolts have a long shoulder, i'm pretty sure it's a one off kind of thing. those rubber grommets fill the gap really well though. and you can get the stuff at any home depot / lowes. I have no noticeable shake from my screen and i think it looks really nice.

damnit i hate this image hosting stuff... have all my pics backed up to drop box, but it seems like it's easier to do forum posts via photobucket or something? guess i could just make a public folder and move them there..damn, that looks to be $10 a month wtf.

Photobucket works. I've noticed dropbox can sometimes change the URL's.

Navigate to the files inside your computer (in your dropbox folder) and right click on them and choose "Share Dropbox link". After you do that, put the URL in your browser and pull up the pic.

Once the pic is displayed, right click on it and "Copy URL". Then you should be able to paste that in here using the "Insert Image' function.

Let's see if this one works:

for some reason the photobucket sign up page is all jacked up on my work computer.
I have the desktop dropbox at home. I'll try uploading this evening.
****
just attached them for now. I'll get a pic of it mounted up on the bike this evening.

Wanted to add apparently my hardware was not as exact as I'd thought. Primarily because i used the lock nuts with plastic inserts, you could use a regular 10-32 nut and loctite it. I also used a second rubber washer between the nut and the bracket. Used a few little washers to take up the extra space created by the lock nut.
