919 Custom Exhaust

I have a TB Carbon Fiber on right now (came with the bike) but want a single exhaust straight out under the tail. My sense of symmetry can't handle the single pipe on one side. Thought about going dual but trying to save money and love to do the work myself anyway. Found a CBR600RR muffler and pipe, looks like it will fit well and have a good look. QUESTION: I have limited technical knowledge (read none) about exhaust, back pressure, flow etc. Should I be modifying the baffles in this muffler due to the different size motor? Will it cause damage if I have restricted flow or just choke the bike? Will too open cause damage or am I just dealing with the sound at that point?

Greatly appreciate any and all advice.

I would be concerned about the heat near the ecu.
I know nothing about mechanics of your issues. Good luck

If you can do a CF can, I wouldn't be concerned about heat. My CF cans (both dual and single) never got more than warm to the touch.
