900rr Headers Questions

Hi Gyus,
So I bought these aftermarket 900r headers and I didn't realize until they came in mail that these are not one solid piece. They came as 5 piece set where pieces slip on and tighten by installing springs.

Now my question is do I just connect them straight on or do I need some sort of sealant or gaskets or anything else?

It looks like there's lots of overlap in the part where the bottom end of the headers meet the next part, and are held by springs. To start with, I think I'd just push them in and use the springs to keep them in place, as per the original design.

If there's any evidence of gas blow-by in the vicinity later on, you might want to consider a smear of sealant on the pipes to help the springs make a god seal, but I think I'd wait on that one.
