2006 vtx jetting

I bought this bike a year ago and the dude that: owned it before me put a hyper charger and strait pipe exhaust. When I bought it it ran way rich and blew black smoke out the exhaust, so I adjusted the pilot screw in and its only about a quarter turn out from bottoming out which the factory settings say it should be 1 & 1/4 turns out. My guess is I need to rejet it but does anybody have any idea what they should be? I live in Utah so the elevation is 4000-4500 above sea level.

Welcome!

Head on over to VTXOA.com. I had a VTX (2005) and was looking into the same issue, I think I needed a couple of #4 or #5 (don't quote me on the #'s) washers to shim under the main needle.

Lots of guys over there could tell you pretty quick what you need. But feel free to hang out here, too! We have all sorts of bikes here.
