1970's something Kawasaki KE 175

Hello all,

So Friday I bought my winter project. I am trying to decide if i have buyers remorse or if I am happy. I bought this baby for 90 bucks and had to drive a considerable distance to get it. I have determined it has old fuel and I will need to go through the fuel system for sure. Seems to have strong compression. There is no spark that I can tell. If anyone owns a bike like this or has a fair amount of knowledge I could use a lot of help. I am not afraid to take on project but before I begin I need to figure out if its even worth resurrecting. A great place to start is locating the VIN#. I need to apply for a lost title and I will not throw money at a bike that i don't own. Then I have some simple questions and then beyond that where do I get parts?

Thank you,

Pretty sure it's a 1971.

Personally I think you're opening a can-o-worms, but if you insist, start with a Clymer Manual. Harry Klemm (google him) might know where to find parts. Ebay will be your best friend.
Best of luck Frank.
