04 + Gauge cluster on an 02 919

Hey guys,

anyone know if there are any problems putting a later 04+ gauge cluster on an earlier (02) 919?

My casing is cracked along with the tachometer being dented in a bit and sticking, i might just buy a whole new cluster. Wondering if i'll have any problem if i use a newer 04 cluster?

Unless I'm forgetting something, they should be identical. To confirm you can hit some parts sites and compare the part numbers.

I'm quoting you.... 1 of the 2 plugs will work. The other plug will not match. 6 pin connector vs 9 pin.

if you love your motorcycle, set it free.. if it comes back and hits you.. you highsided

It does work, but you'll have to re arrange the pin layout. I did it.
