Saw this, and could have checked if I still had the 919 around.

Don't forget the 600 hornet is still in production in Europe, but had changed quite a bit from the version we have here.

Can do, but it'd be easier if someone had 919 measurements to stack up to.

On the subject, are they necessary? Or just for looks?

I have a nice black powdercoated metal rad guard for a 599 that has "Hornet" laser cut in it, if you'd like to find out the answer...wink, wink
$50 shipped to your door...

Sorry to say, it doesnt fit the 919. It was an ebay purchase gone bad from a couple years ago (no returns).

That being said, if you havr a 599 and would like to buy it, Ill go dig it out and take pic.

The 599 rad is shorter than the 919's by a couple inches...

So I guess this one won't fit either? I'd have bought one by now and fabed it on but they insist on not shipping to the US, bastards.

That's AWESOME!!!!

You should email the seller and ask if they have one for the 919 (Hornet 900 as its known in the UK) and see if they can help with shipping

I've been bugging them for weeks. I even offered them 3X the price they're asking and the pussies still won't ship to the US.

I'm trying to find someone in the UK that will buy one and sell/ship it to me.

Still wouldn't fit the way it's supposed to though

I'd say it depends on how un-lucky you are.
I put one on from Art(?) years ago made from stainless.
One day while washing the bike, I noticed a large sharp dent on it. Without the guard, my radiator surely would have suffered greatly.

I plan to die young, as late as possible.

I'm getting one but it sure as hell isn't going to say Hornet when that could be interpreted as Horny with a French accent.

That's strange, according to the dimensions on a Hornet 600 ebay grill guard they are too big, not actually smaller. Maybe different years, I wonder if newer Hornet 600's use the 919's?

Do you have it installed over top of the OEM side guards? Kind of looks like it in the pics....

It is, right over the OEM guards. They are not easy to get and it doesn't look nearly as good as I hoped it would
