where do you buy your chains and brakes?

i searched the helpful topics thread and didn't really find anything other than kyleusa and that only has a 520 chain on it.

i've got a stock '02 919 that's in need of a new chain because i'm at the end of the adjustments and the front brakes are pretty ratty and are going to need replaced whenever i get time.

i read that the DID530VM X-Ring chain is a decent chain, i can only find it in 120 links which I'm guessing is standard. anyone who could point me in a good direction, right now i'm looking on motosport.com which is where i've bought a lot of misc. items and they usually have decent prices and match anyones price... price for the DID is $130.

and as far as brakes go... not a clue... what does everyone recommend?

PS: mistermike, you're 919 webpage is awesome...i've referred to it a few times now

Although Im sure Kyle can get you whatever you need, sprocketcenter.com is another source.

I go through my local dealer. I get my EBC brake pads and DID chains at roughly mail order costs. I also get a second opinion of someone who gives a crap about me and my bikes, not just a sale.

Yes, I like my local dealer. =)

Price it online.
Anyone can get you the basics.

I've used many sources with generally good results.

Even kneedraggers.com did ok.
tricktape.com
bikebandit.com - a little pricey
motorcyclesuperstore.com

board sponsors

we in the 919 community like to show kyleusa.com a little love from time to time

price it online and usually your dealer will get within 10% by ordering from parts411.com
