What do I buy?

Brittany asked me if they make a "sticky pad for the passenger seat" of the 919. The problem is when we are riding and I move so much in the turns, I am a pretty "active" rider. She says she has to work really hard with her legs to keep from sliding around on the seat. Is there something you can either put on the seat to make it less slick? I dont really know what I am looking for, just something to keep her butt on the seat, she still has to be able to move to hang off with me a little bit.

Any suggestions?

Ya.....
Dont ride like an asshole with a passenger.

The passenger is your sole responsibility. You should not be in a situation where you need to be out of the saddle with her on the bike. You are taking an unnecessary risk with someone else's well being.

+1 No offense Luke, but take it easy with her on the back. You care about her, right? Save the speed demon stuff for when your riding solo.

I'm a totally different rider with my wife on the back...her life is in my hands.
It's bad enough we have to play "watch out for retarded cagers" who could care less if motorcycles are sharing the road with them.

Take it easy man, enjoy the ride, enjoy the scenery!

HondaStreetfighter fighter posted the below link a while back. Probably what you are looking for, but agree with the others to take it easy with your girl on the back. I have seen them on ebay from time to time. A cheaper option is for her to ride naked.

wow i mean i know im the noob here, but i didnt see the OP asking for people to critique his riding style. he didnt say his girl told him he rides like a moron. just asked what he can do to keep here form sliding around. anyway, the link the dude posted to the seat thing is probably your best bet. i see them on ebay all the time

I really dont know of anything like that ,in most cases yo udont want to be stuck to your seat - you and your passanger need to be able to move a bit to keep the bike going like you want it to - plus, should something bad happen , you need to get away form the bike -
Ultimate cure, get her a bike of her own !

I didnt say I was hanging off scraping knees in corners, or being an idiot. I learned to ride in the dirt where your always moving, and that's kind of how I ride on the street. I appreciate that you care about both of our safety, I do to. That's why I asked the question to find something to help her feel and be safer. She didn't say she was uncomfortable, I have never even felt her slide around at all, she has never slid down into my seat but she says her legs get tired and she wishes her butt would just stick better...

If I described myself being an idiot with her on the back are being foolish then come down on me! I would deserve it, but just asking for some advice on a part to make her more comfortable... You guys make it sound like I don't care about her at all and am being stupid when I didn't say anything at all to imply that...

Like I said I really do appreciate that you guys care!

And thanks again mike, I think I am buying that.

The thing is, you don't have to ride agressive for the 9ners seat to be annoying, Everytime I have a passenger on, as soon as I go to brake, they come sliding down the seat...and into the tank I go. I only had one passenger that got used to using her legs to hold herself back from sliding during braking (and no, not hard braking) and that's gotta get tiredsome on the legs after awhile.

Here's one on ebay

Exactly, and she (unlike other girls) DOES NOT slide into me. So obviously she is working hard with her legs.

You're fine. It was an appropriate response. My girl (and my groin) has mentioned this in the past when I have to stop hard because some idiot doesn't believe motorcycles are worth waiting for. I think I'll get one of these too, just might save the family jewels from some abuse!

We use the FJR for two up but most of the time she wants to ride her own. I decided once I'd installed the Rizoma rearsets that the 919 looked and felt better with the rear pegs removed, so it's stayed that way since.

I fixed the problem by being too fat to have a passenger.

2003 Honda 919 - flapper mod, Clear Alternatives Smoke Tailight w/ integral turn signals, Stebel Nautilus air horn, DIY fender eliminator, LED license plate bolts, LED front turn signals, no resistor or new flasher so I blink like crazy.
