One brother sent me tomato, cucumber, and pepper seeds (crazy bastard thinks I'll attempt growing/eating ghost peppers) and a check from the parents.

Oh, and my dog left me a 2' long turd.

if you love your motorcycle, set it free.. if it comes back and hits you.. you highsided

I got stuff that made it the best Christmas since I was a kid even though one thing didn't work. Seriously...........It's a pretty darn good Christmas and I don't think relic got a black turd like in his pic. Maybe some heating coal, but no way did he get a black turd.

I'm going out to the kitch right now to prepare for today's shishy-keybod BBQ. Going to marinate some cow and slit some vegeytables throats in a Christmas spirit sort of way.
Them bell peps and white onions got it coming. Along with the whole mushrooms and the cherry tomatoes, they been taunting me all night. Pain coming there way. Gonna drown them in Ralph's tery-yukki and pineapple stuff!

I said I never had much use for one.

Just an overall nice day. I got a new job a couple of weeks ago that took me from working 80 hour weeks, nights, weekends and on-call to a more reasonable schedule with no on-call. I feel like I got my life back just in time for Christmas.

Wife and son are happy to have me back. I couldn't ask for anything more!

When I die I want to die peacefully in my sleep like my grandfather did....not screaming in horror like the passengers in the backseat of his car.

Got a few motorcycle books. A couple of the presents I gave were received well- Ugg boots for the wife, IR thermometers for the brother and my dad. Made poached eggs benedict w/ bacon and asparagus this morning, nailed the hollandaise and didn't overcook the eggs- very gratifying...

OTOH tomorrow I have a command performance w/ the daughter down at the in-laws so she can exhibit her wonderful family to her sister... no booze, few appetizers, a 3 hr wait for dinner, father-in-law controls the tv and watches nothing but sports. Going to bring one of my new books...

You might want to think about rolling it into an IRA or something otherwise you may get hammered in taxes.. although another bike would be more fun...

I was going to but my former employer's plane only gave me 45 days to do so. But I wasn't notified of this till day 45. I lost about $12k to the tax man. I only worked for them for 4years.

Huge Dr Who fan here.. had to convert to netflix since the local PBS station quit showing the Dr. Does your screwdriver feature any moving parts- or is it as sadly nerdy as a lightsaber?

The end is extendable, and it has a UV light for reading secret messages along with 2 sound effects. Lightsaber-ish, but so much cooler.

To be sure a sonic screwdriver is categorically cooler than a lightsaber, or heaven help us, a tricorder. And you don't have to leap around in tights making swishing noises...

Greg

and my day after xmas party went as expected; the guests were many, the drinks few (ever shared 2 bottles of cheapo white wine between a dozen people???), appetizers were potato chips vs a veggie dip board, talk was either people's medical issues or educational system hobby horses, and the sports were on in the basement. Thankfully the daughter and I escaped after 2 hrs, back home & watched her Barbie DVD's...

And just whats wrong with a Tricorder? I'm a Trekkie from way back. I kinda defy all standard Sci-fi rules. Love Trek, Love Star Wars, Dr. Who, Red Dwarf... almost any except those crap monster of the week movies they have on SyFy. More Science than Fiction please.
