SW-Motech Centerstand on sale

Just a heads up... Amazon has the SW-Motech Centerstand priced at $198.96. This is about $20 lower than I've seen.

In case some of you were "on the edge" about spending that money.

The Recraft centerstand is available on Fleabay for $140 + $36 shipping. I got one for the '03 and it appears to be as well-made as the SW Motech that's on the '07. Neither requires removal of exhaust.

For some reason, the Recraft seems to be much easier to engage. I dunno

Hello Robroten,

I purchased the Recraft and have yet to install on my 2007. My brother also owns a 2007 and he would also like a centerstand. Searched on Amazon, and saw only one listing by SW-Motech for the CB919 and the cost was $308 and said it fit only the 2003 to 2005 models.

You happen to have a link to the listing you saw?

Thanks.

I just went to Amazon and clicked on the link provided in my order. It popped up as available for the $308 from a different seller than the one I bought from. Maybe I got the last one? I ordered it on the 11/29, they haven't shipped it yet and haven't charged my account. So we'll have to see if it comes in. Hmmm...

Just an update. My centerstand arrived today. Looking back, it was ordered through Amazon from MotoSport. Looking at their storefront on Amazon, they carry several different centerstands for a variety of bikes but none listed for the 919. It appears I may have bought the last one.

The only unusual thing is that there was no real packaging. Everything was there (hardware, instructions, etc.) but all of it was just wrapped in bubble wrap. I don't know if this is typical for SW-Motech accessories or if these units were repackaged for some reason.

Installation looks simple enough. Two bolts, two cotter keys and fight with the spring. I only bought it for use on multi-day trips so, if it seems obtrusive, I can take it off as very easily for more spirited riding I don't normally do on trips.

Smile

Thank you for posting this, I've been considering a center stand if I could find one.

You know if the OEM windscreens still around? I have one in like-new condition I may put for sale here if anyone is interested. (sorry, I don't mean to hijack the thread. These 2 items used to come up a lot.)
