Show me your tank pads!

I know of tech spec and stomp grip. Let see some pics of what you have . Especially the center pad where your jacket and jeans like to scratch up . Looking for ideas.

PO put a Motografix one on like this. I kind of like it, but I might swap it out for something more understated.

Meh.

I have the exact same tank pad as my friend's SV. It came with the bike and I don't love it but I don't care enough to change it either.

I'm short so my knees hit the silver side covers instead of the sides of the tank, making stompgrip/techspec pads useless to me. I wonder if I could get the universal sheets of grip stuff and cut them to fit over the side covers.

I don't have pads on the sides, I have a clear film from Tankslapper. I just wanted to protect the paint.
I have a Honda OEM tank pad. It's an ST1300 accessory but fits perfect.
There's a thread on it...

Thats a old pic from last winter. The snow is almost gone ... but it has been raining now for a week. Ugh.

The tech spec pads are pricey. But are very high quality and extremely durable ... mime are three years old and look like new.

Ok so I ordered the Tech Spec snake skin side pads. Still debating on the center. I'm wondering how that Honda one would go with the TS pads?

Just don't wear jeans? Leather is less likely to scratch

Normally I have a tank bag on the 919 the flapper can be my tank guard.

It's $56.28 at Partzilla. Does the ST1300 pad fit the 9er?

Finally got around to installing one on my 919. Now if I don't want to shift mid turn I can let my tank pad do its job.

do these tank pads help with sliding forward on the seat? (and no not jeffie's pad)
another thread made it sound like getting the seat modded is the best way to go for that, but i've been wondering if it helped, or if it helped at all with fatigue on longer rides. Sometimes i find myself really squeezing on to the tank when i want to take the weight off my wrists/shoulders and sit up a bit more. I know it might be hard to tell, but i guess a general feel of better "stuck" to the bike is what i'm after, opinions?

I don't believe so. IMO tank pads are to protect your tank from clothing.

If you are up on the tank, my thought is you already are as far foward as you can be so not sure how it would help keep you from sliding more.

Maybe recover your seat with a more tacky kind of seat cover.
