Repacking CF exhausts??

I just wanted to know who of you out there with CF exhausts have repacked them and after how many miles? Any input would be great thanks.

I repacked my cf Yoshis this past winter when they had about 25k on them (I had them on two 919s). They didn't really need it, and it didn't really make a huge difference. I did it just to do it.

Yeah, I have about 22k on the CF yoshi's and I might repack them this coming winter. Did you get the packing from yoshimura or just some regular exhaust packing?

The yoshi USA web site has all the parts you need. I think they state repack every 10,000.

Pack them well and tight. A light spot invites burn through.

2¢ worth from me.

Thanks for the help, I think I will get all the stuff from yoshimura and do it this winter just to be safe. I don't want to see those cans get damaged.

I didn't even think to check Yoshimura for the packing, I just picked up some aftermarket packing while I was at the dealer. The factory packing was still in surprisingly good condition.
