Rear tail light

Has anyone heard of this tail light, or installed it themselves? I had an integrated tail light on my F4i and really like it. Cleans up the bike nicely.

I thought you knew that it was a CustomLED and were just reiterating that I should get it, haha.

I do think I'll order it. The kid I bought it from has two little blinkers sticking out, which are better than the fugly stock ones, but I'd rather have nothing hanging off the tail.

Funny you should ask about this. I just finished install of that exact unit on my 919. Install took about an hour or so and I took my time. Just need to follow the very complete instructions included in the kit.

Much brighter than stock rear lights, and I like the flash flash flash steady sequence.

Most difficult part of the install (and this was not even all that hard once I got the hang of it) was changing the programming. Through a somewhat complicated process of using a ground wire to enter the programming mode, you can change the color of the LEDs, the number of times it flashes before it goes steady, and other parameters.

I ended up leaving everything at stock, except for the number of flashes before steady. The flash flash flash steady went by too quickly in my opinion. I changed it to five flashes and then steady.

All in all, a good product. Recommended.

Well, we did a group buy to get them made, but they were already building for other bikes.

I'm sold. Do they give you better pricing if you buy as a group? I'm ready to pull the trigger on one of these.

I just installed mine yesterday. Took about an hour or so. I took my time though. Make sure to follow the instal instructions and you'll be golden. I also. Wired up the turn signals too, just waiting on my clear lens to arrive to make it complete. I would recommend getting their blinker relay too to keep the stock flash rate and not have the blinker go crazy.

Just play. Have fun. Enjoy the game.
