Hey guys. I wired up my Koso tonight with the help of the search function on this forum. I was able to find a switched 12v wire that I tapped into on the harness. Also tapped the 12v constant from the harness too, instead of running a wire to the battery. Anyway, when I plugged it in, I noticed that the LCD display continued to display stuff, even with the key switched off (after it did it's initial boot up). When I turned the key, it did it's normal startup routine and when I started the bike, everything seemed to function as it should. Then when I turned it off, the LCD continued to display stuff. No backlight, just black/white display.
The question: I assume this is normal, right? Assuming there is an internal battery that keeps that stuff displayed and I am not going to come back to a dead battery? Here is a quick video I shot.
Also, before piecing everything back together, I will take some pictures with my notes on the wiring and add them to the LONG Koso writeup. I noticed that some pics are gone. For the record, the bike is a 2003, so the "old" harness. I will also take the opportunity to clean up some of the 10 miles of wires that sit back there.
