Helmet speakers

I want to get helmet speakers and I cannot decide what to get.
My budget is very low. I was looking at the cheap eBay garbage. Has anyone tried these? Are they even worth the trouble?

No helmet speakers are worth a shit in my opinion. Stick with ear buds. What's your take on buds?

I dont mind buds but as the wind pushes the helmet back, the buds kinda pull out. I have even done that mould thing but they move too. Also my ears tend to hurt after a while.

Don't go cheap. Maybe you can get some decent ones second hand.

i bought 2 cheap sets for $9-50 delivered, and they worked very well up to about 80 klms PH.but i do have a full screen on my 919, am looking at getting a 250 watt shark radio/amp and setting up properly. The cheapies are quiet good for the price.

does your helmet have blutooth cutouts? if not, maybe try some buds that have a lower profile (so they dont make contact with the helmet liner) or maybe the interchangeable rubber part of the bud is too small, allowing it to slip?

I currently use buds, but, im working on plans to mount my phone, and have been checking out stereo blutooth headsets. (not motorcycle oriented ones) I feel like the 'sport' type will have the lowest profile for use under a helmet, and while they have a bud-style earpiece, youll get the best sound/noise canceling.

I have a shark Bluetooth intercom installed in my helmet. (100 bucks for a pair was worth a trial) The highs were pretty bad but i have an eq app on my phone that helped. I have recently started riding with ear plugs which blocks out the highs and wind noise. The sound quality is surprisingly much better.

im using the scala G4 bluetooth for mine. I usually stream pandora from my phone on the way to work. sound quality is pretty good. good volume on speakers and ive only got mine turned about halfway up. The phone hearing/talking ability is good too. everyone can hear me really well up till about 100mph after that it gets some wind noise.

On the earbuds pulling out...have you tried routing the wire over your ear? That worked for me.

Has anyone purchased or looked at bluetooth helmets? Done the buds, with so so positive results. Not looking to have phone conversations just music. Oneal and Torc seem to be the two better ones on the market. Around the $200 range.

You can add the G4 to any helmet.

Yeah you can. That wasn't the question. Looking at different options besides adding speakers to a helmet
