Grade "A" Jugs

Juuuggs…or cans, or slip ons whatever you want to call them. Seems as though they've been discussed over and over again. Me I can't get enough of them jugs. Anyway, I've been contemplating some slip ons for the 9er, and just wanted to get a fairly comprehensive list of the cans available today. I've heard a lot about the satos and such, but those are pretty rare, especially in carbon. So, if you would, let’s get a list of cans together for the indecisive like myself. I prefer the twins tucked under the tail in carbon. I'll start out with two I’ve been eye balling.

Delkevic Carbon
Mivv twin ovals Carbon (Not the x-cones)

Mines sporting a set of Remus carbon GP cans and I really like them, mellow down low and healthy sounding up top plus they're cool yo the touch after a day of riding

I've got the Delki Oval CFs. Love the way they sound, they're to the loud side but nothing like the D&D I've had before.

Here's a sound clip:

Andrew, your Delks, IMO, are not too loud at all. I would rock that bike without them night and day.

My Mivvs on my Tuono, however, were STOOPID loud, I put the baffles back in last night.

Definitely NOT. Those are some awesome jugs, I bet you can get some great sound out them for sure. Motor boat any one?

Anyway, back to exhaust. Anyone had a set of dual Scorpions? They look pretty cool, but I can't find a clip of anyone that has them on a 9er.

OK, back to cans. I have the Danmoto round carbon fiber cans on mine. They sound pretty mean and definitely put the buzz in the hornet. I have a few pictures of the cans, plus how I fabbed up the mounts. That would be the only drawback on these cans is that they do require a tiny bit of engineering for the mounts but it wasn't anything that didn't take more than about 30 minutes with a cut-off wheel and a drill with a unibit.

Philth be extra cautious around that MK3 jetta on your street. You could easily dump the bike on it's oil stains or it might ruin your pretty driveway!

I absolutely love 'em!

HAHAHA it was leaking a little oil (re-used an old drain plug washer) and left a nice little stain on the driveway, that's why it was parked on the street (where it proceeded to leave more stains).. how the hell did you guess that one!?
The ol' TDI is gone now though. 'upgraded'. (I guess you could say haha)

Click the red link, another member is selling them. They're the CF version, wants $350 plus shipping (can't be more than $25).

*Edit: shipping is to Australia will be more of course, still a great deal even with shipping in the lower $100 ballpark

Ok, baring any ridiculous deals on something else, I've narrowed it down to Scorpions or Mivvs. This stock Mivv pic shows black, but if I go Mivv it will be the carbons. Thoughts anyone?

These Mivvs, other than the x-cones are all the Mivv website, or PJ's had listed. How much are the carbon satos goin' for, do they have a good low tone to them, I want my 9er to growl? I can get the Mivvs for just over 600. Still waiting on the quote for the scorpions.

Satos are some of the best sounding exhaust money can buy for the 919. The satos for sale have been repacked which tips in your favor! They produce a very nice growl and don't get tinny at the high end of the rpm range.

My thoughts, which won't help one bit.

Scorpion - LOVE the looks of those cans - don't think I've seen them before! I had the GP style CF Scorpion on my 900rr setup and loved it.

MIVV CF- Currently have these on my T. Holy @$#%@$ are they loud without the baffles and purry as a kitten with them in. Build quality is beyond superb. Same for looks.

MIVV conicals - can't stand the looks, never heard them though.

SATO - Had these on the 919 before the 900rr conversion. LOVED the sound, I think mine needed repacked as well, as they were on the loud end of the spectrum.

Yeah I really lke the looks of the Scorpion Factory rounds CF. I spoke with Scorpion and they gave the name of their US distributer, so I gave them a call. The distributer said she has never order them before. She can special order them, but only for a retailer. She gave me the name of her retailers so I got in touch with 58cycle, Pipecity, and Indysuperbikes, and I'm still waiting on a quote. Those Satos do sound and look awesome, but if I can get the Scorpions at a resonable price, I believe they've got me hooked.

Being honest, I would just up for new cans. I know the Sato's are great and all, but if you buy used, you don't know what you are getting - what's been done to them, how long they are going to last etc. They are a dying breed. Beautiful, but dying.

If you do get those Scorpions, for sure post up some pics and a vid or two!

I want to see if the hype is real. So far I've had D&D then CF Delkevics and now Satos. Between D&D and Delkevics, I'd say with the D&D the bike pulled harder. The sound and looks of the Delkevics is definitely a step up IMO.
