Fabbri Windscreen

I'm interested in buying a windscreen for the 919 and am looking at the Fabbri ART 3001 based on Pvster's countless recommendations here on WT. I emailed PJ (PJ's Parts) about windscreen options and he listed the 3001 as the only option for the 9er. A few minutes later he emailed again saying he talked to Paige about it and she said it only works if you have done the Hornet 600 headlight mod and that is overhangs the 900 headlight too much. The photos of the screen look like it's mounted on a 919 but I'm not sure what the 599 headlight looks like. Can anyone confirm whether or not the 3001 will work with the 919's stock headlight? Do you need to buy a hardware kit in addition to the screen?

Thank you!

The bike in the pix looks like a 919, but that headlight is def a 599 unit... trust PJ. She knows stuff

Well, fire the engines! Spur this iron space-pony on!

I don't think those are 599 headlights pictured there... looks like the stock 919 setup. 599 has an upper and lower with a slant to the glass.

This website says it works for both the Hornet 600 and 900.

CarpiMoto - Fabbri Café Racer Dark Smoke Headlight Fairing Screen - Aprilia RS 125 -05

Since there's conflicting information, I'm hoping to get a confirmation from someone who has successfully installed one on the stock 919 headlight before placing an order.

Hi, I'm the one that helped PJ figure this out for someone else so I'll chime in here. The fabbri 3001 screen will overhang on the stock 919 headlight sadly. It fits much better with the 599 headlight.

So you are saying the bottom of the screen sticks out farther than the headlight? Bummer

So what would be other suggestions for screens that help with 75-80 mph wind blast without the bobblehead effect? I don't want one that is so tall that you look through the screen though, too much glare.

I posted this on another related thread, and thought I should post the question here as well....

"If you don't mind me askin, just for comparison purposes....how tall are you?....and where does the wind hit you with the Fabbri? I like the look of the Fabbri, but wonder how it'll compare with my Buell? I'm 6', and wind hits me at upper chest to neck level when sitting up straight, which is nice because I can just slouch a little and be below the wind for the most part. Looks to me yours may be similiar....?"
