F15 Windscreen defect

I bought this off amazon and probably serves me right for trying to save a few bucks but look how it's not symmetrical on the outer top edges

I bought it 10/04 and just now mounting it so I probably can't even return it. Sucks

F-15 or 16? I don't think it's because of where you bought it. More like a manufacturing defect I'd think.

It could also be temperature related where ever the shipper is storing them. I know I have seen some ABS plastic pieces (and fiberglass even) warp in warehouses where temps get over 95 for a sustained amount of time.

^ Ahhh, that could totally be it.

It's the F15, which is not made for the 919 but can be made to fit like the F16.

Got any pics of it mounted? I'm guessing no.

I might, when it was mounted it looked like crap, I couldn't figure out what was wrong until I saw it was warped.

It's actually a nice screen looks like it would be more effective that the F16, but then again takes a lot of custom work to make fit.

I currently have an MRA speed screen ordered and the mounting kit on the bars all ready to go. If the MRA doesn't do it for me, I'm wondering what else could be mouted to the extremely versatile mount, including a straight F15

I run the F-16 on mine and to get out of the wind I just rest my left arm on the tank and put the chin of my helmet on my arm and all the wind goes right over the top.

I had this screen on mine and the buffering was just too much for me (I'm 5'11" riding with either Shoei Quest or RF1100).

Thanks for the input, might have save me the shipping to send it back for a possible warranty replacement.

Your avatar looks like you might have the MRA that I recently ordered. Which is it and how do you like it?

I just recieved the one in the like above and didn't like it so I sent it back and got this one instead:

I didn't like it, too much wind noise. I got a F15 Chinese replica for $25 that broke after 2 rides and then I molded the MRA after the broken screen

So you have the VFVT now? MRA makes a great moutning kit for it.

No, I have a recycled MRA

with home made brackets

and I used one of the mounting bars as a cross bar

just because I didn't want it to go the the trash bin

It's not perfect but is better than the MRA screen

So I decided to mount it anyway. I took a blow torch with the edges and it actually went back to it's original shape more or less. Pretty cool. I like it way more than the F16. Same height with no wind on my shoulders.
