D.I.D Chain and sprocket kit

Hi there,

Garage told me I need to get a replacement chain and sprocket as my chain is super loose. Has anyone tried the D.I.D (DKH-012G) 530VX Gold/Black Chain and 16 Front/43 Rear Tooth Sprocket Kit?

Link if needed https://www.shopsmartexpress.com/ite...h-sprocket-kit

Slightly cheaper than getting OEM sprockets and a chain.

Any advice would be helpful but seems like it should be fine...

Thanks

I agree that it seems like it should be fine. DID is a reputable brand and x-ring is far from the bottom of the scale in terms of chain tech.

I recently replace mine with the VX530 and JPT gears. Itís a nice chain, the link is a PITA to install and I even bought the fancy tool from DID. Iím curious, since I do all my own work, how much did the shop quote you to replace it? And was that for OE parts?

I got the same chain and sprockets since last year. No complaints, put 6000 miles and hasn’t stretched. Was easy to install, exact OE replacement.

Hey man, Only just took the bike in but they quoted me $154 for the labor. This is NYC mind so might be more expensive here ($90/hour). The chain and sprockets I just bought on Amazon, was $175 ish so came to $190 with tax

Even with NYC labor rates, I think that is reasonable
