Chinese Carbon Pipes

Dunno if these have been posted before but I think they actually look pretty awesome! No idea how well they are built but they could be ok.

ya there have been a coupla threads on em....

pretty much its gonna be like riding around a bike with no mufflers at all and just the Y pipe. reasons. 1. short length 2. huge inside diameter 3. small outside diameter.... pretty much summed up means a muffler that doesn't muffle much.

They do look pretty cool i must say.

You could always get a insert made for the outlet to quiet them down.

They are cheap enough to experiment with.

I got 'em and I like 'em. Might have to sell, though , cause I have the "MUST HAVE NEW MOTORCYCLE" syndrome ....brought on by cabin fever.
The Dan Motos are not as loud as I thought they were gonna be. And mine runs fine with them without using any FI tuner.

Anyone think these would look good on the 919? Obviously would need new intermediate pipes to work

Not sure how that down-turned tip would look mounted undrer the seat of the 919? Might work as a low mount.

I kinda like the "rawness" of the finish.

I just installed a Dan Moto carbon slip on pipe that I got today. took 7 days, packaged well, its very good quality, quick ship from China, It went on so easy I just had to drill out the hanger to fit my orig. bolt. It is loud at start up, but It has a nice deep tone. I couldn't take a test ride as its really rainy here today. Fed Ex also brought my Hurst shifter for my 2010 Camaro today too. Happy day!!

with a little modification you can get a carbon fiber muffler made for the automobiles and make those work as well...they're like $25 bucks a piece. I put one on my 07 fz1 and had a midpipe made for it. I think I had less than $50 in the whole deal and it sounded awesome. It was a heavy quality pipe too. Looked identical to the Termignoni on Rossi's bike....kinda loud tho.

There's others that I found too. Personally, I'm quite curious about trying this.

I think I like the look of the second one more.

I'd very surprised if these things are anything but outrageously loud when up in the revs and throttle opened wide. I mean outrageous in terms of neighbour hate and police magnet noise levels.

You think you have exhaust stink now, just wait and see how bad it is with pipes that exit a foot from the rear of the bike!
