bluetooth radar detector

Anyone know of a good radar detector with bluetooth? I would like to have a radar detector alert me via my scala rider g4. Either through my iphone or straight to the g4.

I have seen the cobra iRadar. I'm not sure if the phone makes any noise when radar is detected. I called cobra and left a voice mail.

anyone else know of any other options?

I am interested in this as well. Ordering a ScalaRider G4 to pair up to my iphone to use Navigon for road trips. What phone do you use?
I assumed I would have to just get a radar detector and keep my eye out for visual warnings. I've never heard of anyway to incorporate an audible warning, unless you can mount a seperate speaker in your helmet for it, or maybe at the collar ofyour jacket facing up into the helmet.

NOt sure if they make one yet... You can get a radar detector with a headphone jack (I have the Escort Solo II that runs on batteries which has one) and rig a universal bluetooth transmitter on it. Never tried it, but I don't see why it wouldn't work

Yeah, but then you have to choose to either pair your ScalaRider to the phone OR the bluetooth transmitter on the radar detector.

I think I'll just duct tape the radar detector to the top of my helmet and drill a hole to run the headphone wire into it.

Is that Snell approved?

I have the iphone 4s. I love it. I get my music. You can still use siri with the g4. I also use the garmin app for navigation. It works great and tets reception in seconds. Wayy better than my stand alone garmin unit.

I use a ram mount to hold the phone. Ohh and the video quality while riding sucks because of the vibrations.

Anyway, you can pair multiple devices at the same time to the iphone. So i want to pair the radar detector to the phone, and the phone to the g4. I have also seen the escort live system. A bit pricey, and it doesnt seem to let you control the detector through the phone. For muting reasons.

try portable DJ mixer, works great. small, light, cheap and you can plug in your ipod and the radar detector if it has audio output. (a lot of them do)

I have the ram mount and an iPhone 4s too.
And yes, I've taken a video of the speedo while doing a 0-100 run but as soon as you start going you can't read the speedo, and the wind noise is crazy.
I didn't realize you can pair more than one thing to the iPhone.
Whatever solution you find, keep me informed and I'll do the same.

I've seen something on eBay, it's a series of color LEDs that you lout in your helmet and certain radar detectors will turn on a different color led for different radar bands or laser.

I really want to get a nicer helmet, then use my current helmet for experimenting HUD and radar detection and other things.
I have dreams of a helmet that has headsup display for speed and tach, with audible alerts for radar and voice control of my iPhone.

My pipe dream is to not need any gauges on my bike and everything controlled/monitored by my iPhone and helmet.

I'll keep you posted. I hoping the iRadar works well. Seems like a nice set up.

What helmet do you have?

this would be sick. Too bad it's for ski goggles.
