Battleax tires

Anybody else try these?
Worst front tire I have ever had. It wore on the shoulders so it left a pointed profile ( see pic). Bike would not turn.
Granted it was worn, but probably less than 1000 miles.

Just changed the front, and it feels sooooo much different.

oh yeah, 2003 919

I agree. I ran them once. Never again, they just wore out very fast. Also didn't "feel" great at all. My bike slipped a couple of times.
Rubber turds.

Wow that tire looks awful.

I've never had a Bridgestone that I liked. Come to think of it, I was on a Bridgestone when I high sided my old 929.

Pirellis stick like glue, but they they don't last all that long.

Wow, I was going to buy the S21 on a recommendation from a shop. They had a $50 rebate a while back, but I passed on them. Never seen a tire wear like that.

I wonder why we don't hear more about this.

Edit: just saw a bunch of 4~5 star ratings for these. Noticed the lack of wear on the center, what kind of riding do you do?

Aren't the sides softer for better grip on corners?

They are harder in the middle, which sounds like a good idea...
I'm hardly a big time corner guy...mostly just Accel.

S21 are fine apparently. I mean, your tire is worn to the cords so yeah it'd feel like doodoo. It was probably actually the rear being squared that made it sluggish to turn though. I run q3s+, seem to always do the job until I finally ran out of grip on my last track day.
