Anyone wear an air mask under their helmet?

I'm in the east bay, and apparently our air pollution is neck and neck with Beijing. I've got a ride to HMB coming up, which isn't terribly long, but my lungs kinda suck anyway. Anyone ever worn a filter mask under a full-face helmet? If so, which fit?

I'm in Sac and I just got back from a quick ride. You can really smell it. I'd say a regular cotton mask would be about all you'll get to fit.

One thing you might have to do is get it a bit damp and maybe wrap it on a cloth. Water catches the small stuff pretty good, but getting something back around the cheeks is a bit hard.

Maybe some of these:

I say wait it out. I am in San Jose and the air is like crap. Been driving my car for a week now. Someone told me that most face masks wont help as the concern is fine particular matter 2.5microns I believe. You would need a hepa or carbon filter for that.

And its not just you think of your poor bike breathing that stuff ☺️

Should be better Friday on
