Maybe taking a marketing cue from Apple. I think I will get the PR3S (no apostrophe intentionally) instead of the pr4.

I thought the same thing... and then looked it up and they have pilot road 3 trails as well... apparently it's a different compound (although tread looks the same) as the normal pr3 and is made for the taller tires on adv bikes

Wonder if they extended the harder center compound to the shoulders under the softer stuff like they did on the Pilot Power 3s. The press release doesn't mention it but it would probably benefit the tire from getting cooked too quickly on the shoulders. As of right now the edge on the PR3s less than the center from track days.
