Question 919 soft luggage

I am looking at getting Cortech luggage for my 919. They have the Sport saddle bags with matching tail bag and they also carry a somewhat larger version, I beleive it is called Tour Master. Does anyone have any suggestions with these bags or other bags? Also, any suggestions to avoid marring or scratching of painted parts?

Thanks,

Dennis

I recently purchased these.

The overall quality is very nice and they have pretty decent features. I've yet to use them so I can't give a real world review as of yet but for the moment I think they are well worth the price.

I prefer the Ventura soft luggage and rack system on my 919--the tail section doesn't seem to work well with traditional throwover saddlebags.

Here's a link to the Dowco bags I have. These are photos of them on my 919 at the office. They are from last year and I have since been able to adjust them a little better.

How well would you say those pack? Can you see having enough room for a pair of shoes and enough clothes for a weekend or maybe a little more? (not camping)

2003 Honda 919 - flapper mod, Clear Alternatives Smoke Tailight w/ integral turn signals, Stebel Nautilus air horn, DIY fender eliminator, LED license plate bolts, LED front turn signals, no resistor or new flasher so I blink like crazy.

I used them for commuting back and forth to work. On one side, i would carry my uniform shirts (6 polo shirts) and 5 LTO backup tapes. On the other side, I fit 3 pairs of kahki uniform pants and a pair of dress shoes.

I think you should be okay. I'd actually like to get some cortech sport bags to match my cortech sport tailbag so might be interested in selling the Dowcos....maybe.

Hmmm, definitely keep me in mind. That sounds like it would just about be what I need for when I make trips up to see my friends/family in OK for a long weekend.

I went ahead with the Cortech TourMaster Tri-Bag System, They fit well on the bike and should be large enough for 10-12 days of riding and camping...solo.
They are so easy to remove, so as too keep it NAKED most of the time.
appreciate your comments. Just got in from a 90 minute ride, very stressed from job. The 919 never fails to deliver in the smile department. I can't believe how slow and loose the 1980 R 80 Airhead feels!
