Cause the Japenes figure we couldnt handle a full on naked sports bike - guess they will leave that to the Brits and Italians !

Just imagine, a Z1000 with a full on ZX10 motor ! Now that would be a riot !!!

Even if they make one we might not get them. America doesn't always get the good toys. The B-King is nice but the styling is love it or hate it. I almost had a Z1000 but I'm a bang for the buck type of guy and couldn't pass on the 919. If there were a nice priced bike with a ZX10, CBR1000 or GSXR1000, engine that was tuned nicely I'd buy one. Not neutered but maybe tuned so that power is linear and does not kick in all of a sudden.

You know... I keep hearing about how people want the sportbike engine in naked bikes. I will never understand it.

I had a 600RR - I would never want that gutless wonder of a low end in a bike that was not designed for the track.

I had an R1 - I much prefer the FZ1 power delivery and its torque on the low end when playing in traffic.

I had an RC51, I prefer the Superhawks lower gearing to having to slip the clutch on the RC and the worthless 6th gear on the RC.

I think people are so caught up in the "numbers" they have forgetten what a good riding bike is. I have a nuetered bike. It produces 20Hp or so less than some of the other versions. But it is also the smoothest of the 955s, it produces the most power on the low end of all the 955s, and it is probably the most bullet proof.

Do I wish it had more power? Sure.
But not at the risk of losing its current strengths.

made some good points hondaf4iguy. i prefer the upright riding position of the nakeds. i've had neck and back pain for years and was just diagnosed with arthritis. unfortunately there are trade ins when it comes to power delivery either you the low end torque or high end power. i went with a naked bike because the power delivery seems to more suited for everyday driving, but the top end of an all out sport bike would be nice. nothing wrong with wishing. but then again all of the magazine reviews i read about the B-King states that the bike has "too much" top end for a naked bike.
