The Coolest thing happened today!!!!

I had the coolest thing happen to me today!!
Here in Brisbane Australia we have toll roads, and they're about to bring in no stop tolling with "E-Tags". We already have them for no stop lanes but.

I wrote an email to my Cities radio station on Saturday, outlining that the E-tags don't always work, and we get charged an extra processing fee of 80 cents if, that they aren't water proof or vibration proof, no way of mounting them to the bike, and if worn in a pocket, they present a danger if you crash, braking ribs or cutting you when they shatter.

The radio station called me this morning and asked if they could interview me this afternoon, and that they had passed my email on to the government citing my concerns.

So, at 3.45 the station rings me up, interviews me, then put the Boss off QLD motorways on, and he changed the rules today, just like that!!

No more need to carry a tag on your bike or person, no 80 cent processing fee and problem solved!!!

I feel like a hero to the motorcyclists of QLD!!!!

I come from the land Down Under, Where the women blow and the men thunder!!

Way to stand up for yourself and win! When I was in Fl I had a sun pass (same thing as yours I take it) and as long as you had the account all they would do was deduct the toll when you got Photoed for running the toll. No fines or exrta fees.

A round of applause and a round of drinks. Way to go.

After many years and many dreams I have realized my goal of riding in all 50 states!

Now the rest of the world!

Every now and then go away and have a little relaxation. To remain constantly at work will diminish your judgment. --Leonardo Da Vinci

You what we need, a committee to make a report on why we're so inefficient! Better have some lawyers look over the report to make sure there are no liability issues too. Gotta have a warning label not fold the report up and stick the sharp edge in your eye as well. Don't want to offend anyone with the report either, better make sure the committee fully represents every ethnicity, religious belief and sexual preference. Should have this figured out in a few years, probably won't cost more than a couple of billion dollars to get a handle on this problem.

You forgot about licensing issues with that brand of paper and writing utensils used.

Nice job Rockdog. I had the same issue using my toll pass on my bike. Didnt work in the pocket and very cumbersome to take it out and hold it up. Finally found a pouch that it would fit in and velcro'd it to the front of the speedometer behind my windscreen. It works everytime now.

Great job!
Yea like starting with those idiots robbing the Conceled Carry Permit account to the tune of 6 million plus, and telling the Governor if he does not allow it, they will take it from Education.

All while the backlog to get a permit is exceeding 90 days, to like 5 months, and the office needs the funds to hire more people to complete the process of checking out folks to get their carry permits.

I Can and will ride anything!
