Stranded harley....

I passed a harley pulled over on the side of the road last night.
I looped back around and stopped to offer a hand. He was having electrical problems and was trying to find his fusebox with a cigarette lighter. He had no tools and no light and it was pitch black.

I handed him my mini-mag and a small toolkit I carry with me. Simple repair, a blown headlight fuse and a couple bad connections at the fusebox. (probably rattled loose!)We got everything working in bout 15 mins.

He said he was never gonna live it down being saved by a rice burner but he sure was glad I showed up. I told him to pay it forward, next time he sees a stranded "rice burner", stop and offer a hand. He said he definitely would, thanked me, shook my hand and rode off. Changing attitudes one harley rider at a time.......

I had a Harley wave me to go ahead and pass him in the Mountain yesterday, and after he waved for the third time we finally passed him and he got pissed off...

As you can see, I can and will ride anything, I only see 2 wheels.

Sure there are the Harley riders like the squids, that just don't get it, but we can help them and change their attitudes one at a time!

And I have helped a broke down Japanese motorcycle while out on my Harley, and vice versa.......they all are a mechanical machine.

So they do break down as well

That's a great story.. There's a lot of animosity between the two groups and any little effort makes a huge difference.

Thanks for the effort.

Bwahahahaha. The only way a Japanese engineered bike will be stranded is a flat tire, out of gas, or wrecked!!!

I was on the H-D a few weeks back and pulled over to help a few stranded Gold Wing riders. One guy just got his bike "tuned up" at one of the, if not the, crappest Honda dealer in our area. It just died! He was already on the phone with the service department at the Honda shop.

I received the strangest looks from these couples. A freak'n Harley rider stopping to help. bahahahahahaha

It's better to have loved and lost than live with the psycho for life!

One time, a short while back, I stopped to have a beer with a dude on a Harley!
It was cool, and I was thirsty.

Crusing the parkway , come across a couple of H-D patch-wearing "enthusiasts" stopped about 50 yarde from each other.
Stopped offered tools & some spare hardware.
The guy thanked me & had his buddy comming back w/ a wrench to snug up a loose ground wire. He handed me a "club" card and I was on my way.
About 1/2 mile down the road was a Sporster pulled over and a very tall Brunette taking off her helmet. She was HOT !.
I stopped and asked if she was alright.
She said how sweet I was to stop and planted a kiss on the cheek !Then she proceeded to tell me that she's OK ,she's just waiting for her "old man" to finish helping his friend.........
Think I did the 1/4 mi in the low 11's pulling out ta there...............M

Never pick a fight with an old man..if he's too tired to fight, he'll just shoot you.

I live off the major highway through my city. I set on my deck watching the bikes go buy, and it's rare to see anything but a Harley. So of course the odds are higher to see one broke down they dominate the roads!!!!!

Yeah, what city is that, Milwaukee?

Also, dude, why replying to three year old posts? Is it because you are slow like your bike?

99 fatboy, what up with all Harley thread resurrection? We did our best to forget all these.

on a serious note, you don't need any post count to post pics or anything on this forum. Go ahead, create your post, introduce yourself and load it up with some pics of what you got. We love pics

I did not notice the dates. Looks like the forums don't get used much if these old of posts still show. I down loaded the app on my iod, looks like it's time to delete it.

I notice that too. More often than not the Harley guys seem to be "squidish".
Personally 2 wheels is 2 wheels. I don't care what a guy rides but I do notice the metric riders tend to be more friendly.
